II Corinthian's 4:16, "So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day." (read chapter)

I have very youthful genes. Meaning, I still can't grow a full beard at age 35. Yet, I'm starting to get gray hairs... It's scary to an extent because you can't help but realize that it's all down hill from here. Thinking about all the time we spend in the mirror, in the morning, throughout the day, walking past stores and catching the reflection... our whole lives are dedicated to taking care of ourselves on the outside. What about our insides though, are we as dedicated to what's going on inside?

When we awake in the morning do we spiritually get our mind right and say "Ok God, I just got up, my spiritual breath stinks, my spiritual armour has been slept in and needs to be changed, and I also need to take a spiritual dump and get rid of the bad stuff I ate spiritually yesterday and digested and make room for all the new ones that I can take in today."

When we spiritually take care of our insides, we can avoid the day after day spirituall bad hair days. When we're neglecting it, it's only a matter of time before we say, "I hate my spiritual hair!" and decide to cut it off.

But when we are spiritually clean shaven, spiritually smelling like that sweet aroma of Christ before we walk out the door, eaten a well balanced spiritual breakfast, we're energized, we can take on the world, our insides get better, we're dying on the outside, but spiritually growing and maturing on the inside! We avoid confusion, we avoid emptiness, we avoid frustration, we avoid complacency, we avoid self pity, we avoid destructive behavior. We also avoid the #1 person that gets in the way of us experiencing all that God has for us everyday--ourselves, our natural man/woman of the flesh.

I Thessalonians 5:3, (read chapter)

"Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."

If you would like to trust in Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, and have the assurance, the guarantee that when you die you go to be with the Lord forever simply confess to God that you are a sinner, and that you turn from your sins, so that you may live only for Him. In Jesus Name Amen
